Principal Julia Frentz added a shovelful to help Mrs. Rheame and Room 22 first graders plant a cherry tree. By the time these children are in fourth or fifth grade, this Lapin, self-pollinating cherry tree may be producing cherries.
Thanks, fourth graders!
Mrs. Barnes' fourth graders planted a Three Sisters Garden (corn, beans, and pumpkins) and hauled mulch to cover the path near the center circle. They also sampled fresh mint, a plant that is grown for cash by Wisconsin farmers.
