Spring at last!
Master Gardeners and Neighbors Clean the Beds
Thanks to neighbors Liz, Therese and Tom, and to Master Gardeners Marge, Kurt, and Mary, along with teacher Ms. Nelson, and volunteers Jean and Carol for a productive morning.
The veggie circle garden looks primed for turning.
The perennial flower bed promises a dramatic splash of crocuses tulips, and hyacinths soon.
The border hostas lie waiting under newly cleaned beds.
And the chrysanthemums, lilies, and cosmos promise another season of blossoms under the Allis sign.

From Our Garden to Yours
Today we thinned.....
chrysanthemums, lilies, lamb's ears,
choral bells, and euphorbia from our front beds.
Please take one or more for your own.
If you care to make a donation, it will go for a shade tree to eventually replace our mature mulberry near the garden.

Next work day: Home Depot is coming, May 8!
Thanks to a grant from Home Depot and one from the Madison Herb Society, our aging raised beds will be repaired and/or replaced. John Bartleme of the east side Home Depot will bring a crew and supplies to build several picnic tables as well as to install the bedding.
